La Chiesa di Ignano 1778 is a farm located in the historic park of Monte Sole, on the southeast side of the valley of the river Setta, about 4 km. from the motorway exit of Sasso Marconi. 


The garden of the thousand roses develops on the basis of an ancient collection of roses begun in the 70s by Tano Medici,my grandfather, who followed the development of the plants of the botanical garden of the University of Bologna.

So the new project of a garden characterized by a wide variety of roses and medicinal plants was born.Walking through the botanical park you are surrounded by the scents of aromatic herbs, roses and lavender plants.

From the ancient bell tower start several routes to reach the top of the mountain arriving at the visitor center of the historic park of Monte Sole. 

The river Setta, which flows near the Church, is swimming and with beautiful coves, beaches and waterfalls. 

Our guests can relax in the pool, in outdoor SPA ( jacuzzi and sauna), enjoying the view of the mountains in the shade of the park plants.
